WWA members should use the email address that we hold for you. Members of other WNZ affiliated clubs can register for the Harbour Blast by clicking register, providing your email address, and confirming too.
A round of the North Island Cup is to be run in Wellington at Robinson Bay off Eastbourne. This is to be a fun day of racing for all sailors, with wave, freeride, freestyle and salom gear all encouraged to enter. This event will complement the Harbour Blast to make for a full weekend of windsufing racing in Wellington!
Racing will start from the shore in heats of around 8. Sailors will race around a set course likely either a classic downwind or figure of eight course then across the finishline close to the shore. Results will be recorded and a Champion anounced.
The Wellington Round will be a stand alone event and will not contribute to the overall NI CUP results this year. You could be Wellington's Champion!
A support boat kindly supplied by RPNYC and the Ocean Water Sports Programme. Will allow us to set a course that will best suit the conditions.
We will have a BBQ and refreshments for competitors and supports on the shore.
The WWA is looking for a couple more people to help out on land during the event this Saturday. If you aren't planning on competing and could spare a few hours helping out on the shore, we would be really grateful.
