Welcome to the Wellington Freewave Series 2007

The Wellington freewave series is designed to foster an atmosphere of good comradeship, promote freestyle and wavesailing in the Wellington area / NZ wide and to push the skill levels of participants to new levels.

The format of the event is chosen to be extremely simple and efficient. No standing around at the beach, event duration max. 3 hours so you can still attend all your other commitments which usually come up on windy Sunday afternoons. 

We encourage EVERYONE to hit the beach for these events as some of the events will be a format where everyone has a chance of winning. (ie. highest straight jump of the day etc.). Furthermore, participants of 3 or more rounds will qualify for some wicked spotprizes at the final day.  You gotta be in it to win it !!

Location:
Any spot in the Wellington region, but most likely Plimmerton, Lyall Bay, Evans Bay or Seatoun

Notification of location:
On event day at 10 am. The notification of location will be done by the event committee. The decision will be posted on the
Internet, registered series members will be notified by mobile phone (SMS).

Registration of mobile phone number:
Free. By sending Email to jcourt@clear.net.nz containing your name and mobile phone number.

Event entry fee:
Free for paid up WWA members.
$10 per round for non members.   That is bugger all !! Includes BBQ
