Windsurf New Zealand need a great windsurfing photo for their membership card.
Windsurf New Zealand are in the process of updat ing their membership cards, and as part of that have come up with an idea which would require an up-to-date photo of a windsurfer or windsurfers which they could use as the front of the card. For more information, to see a mock-up, or to offer help with designing the card, please contact Jane Jeffrey: secretary@windsurfingnz.orgWebsite Teething.
Thanks to Rory and Chris for pointing out broken links and format issues. Hopefully it's all fixed now.
Please let us know if there is any issues with the site and if you have suggestions to make it better.

10-3-06
The WWA is organising a windsurfing weekend in the Wairarapa. The idea is that we will get some windsurfing in on either Lake Oneke for speed sailors and freeriders or Cape Palliser for the wave sailors, with a bit of a knees up at the Lake Ferry Pub on the Saturday night. If there is no wind there are plenty of other options including surfing, golf, fishing, wineries, sight seeing, nursing hangovers, etc. This will be a weekend not to miss for beginners to expert sailors alike. After hearing 6000 submissions, including submissions from the WWA the Greater Wellington Regional Council sub committee has given the Coastal highway the thumbs down in their report released today. The report specifically mentions Plimmerton's national and international significance as a quality windsurfing location.
Thanks to Bob Zuur who prepared and presented the WWA submission and all those windsurfers that submitted against this proposal. Read more >>Sailing safely at Lyall Bay

With the recent abundance of cross offshore days at Lyall Bay and its increasing popularity with sailors I thought it timely to remind everyone to watch out for other water users. Please sail a respectfull distance away from surfers and swimmers no matter how tempting it is to smack the next section. If the water is packed with surfers consider waiting for them to thin out. If you think another sailor is intimidating surfers/swimmers, let them know about it. Remember one accident could result in restrictions for all of us.Report from Round three of the Freewave 05/06
